Overview
A concerted effort between CyberTalents and Trend Micro to provide a free introductory cybersecurity training program to students and fresh graduates who are looking to enhance their technical skills and start their careers as cybersecurity professionals. Trend Micro is offering 500 free cybersecurity scholarships for talents from Arab and African countries, giving them a chance to demonstrate and discover their passion for cybersecurity on CyberTalents interactive and gamified learning platform platform platform platform.
What Will You Learn?
This training program is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge in cybersecurity to enable you to discover several cybersecurity tracks providing all required fundamentals. The program will prepare you to get started in the cybersecurity field with the necessary pre-required knowledge in each track. During your learning journey, the instructors will walk you through different topics including essential cybersecurity concepts, its goals, some threats and vulnerabilities, OS Security, Web Application Security, Data Encryption Techniques, and Network Security Fundamentals and Security.
Moreover, a Q&A session will be held every week where the students will prepare their questions and have a live call with their instructor to answer them all.
In the last week of the program, we will run mentorship sessions for the students where they get to have a one-to-one call with a cybersecurity expert sharing their expertise with the students and providing them a guideline about what they can do after the program.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the criteria below:
- Located in Arab or African countries.
- Located in Arab or African countriesdd.
- Age between 18 - 30 years old.
- Learn Linux Essentials course and finalize its challenges on CyberTalents platform (Start Now: https://bit.ly/337BFTw)
- Basic knowledge of Computer Systvvems.
Application Process
1 - Eligibility
Make sure you meet the above criteria first.
2 - Registration
Finalize Linux Essentials Course and its challenges and Fill in the application form.
3 - Selection
Selecting 500 students (Priority is for females) who met the above criteria and sending them acceptance mails.
4 - Bootcamps
Selected students will receive full free access to CyberTalents premium during the 6 weeks of the program from 5th June to 20th July.
5 - Assessment
A CTF assessment will run by the end of the program to assess the students' performance during the Bootcamp.
Certificates
Students who committed to the program and got good scores in the assessment will receive their certificates by the end of the program.
